I made 160 of these rope dolls for my upcoming exhibition. Hundreds of hours and thousands of feet of rope ultimately tied together to create a 7’ X 16’ net.

I am super excited to announce my upcoming exhibition, ‘A Common Reality’. The work for this show is a little outside my usual approach to art making. I’ve used rope, twine, polymer clay, painted wood, video and some digital media. The past year has truly stretched my creative wings and took me in directions I never anticipated.

I keep telling myself that I’ll outgrow the teal blue but then I remember that I painted my front door that same color...16 years ago and I still love it. I tell myself that the human form is good for classical practice and then I realize all of my work is figurative.
